Thanks for visiting my site!

As a child, I spent hours in the forested surroundings of our home in the northeastern United States.  My favorite tree gave me a quiet place to sit and watch the natural cycles of the seasons and creatures that shared our home.  Indoor hours were spent reading about natural wonders and using art supplies to get my nature inspirations on paper.  I went on to study wildlife ecology in university and have kept using my art supplies throughout seasons of work, teaching, motherhood and travel.

Nature journaling has been a tool for me to continue learning about the world in child-like wonder.  Over the past nine years, it's also been part of my journey to connect more deeply to the beautiful desert landscapes of our second home, the United Arab Emirates.
